The Initial Experience
When
training with Pilotinside.com, you’ll
experience a level of professionalism that is
unmatched. You will begin an amazing journey,
an experience that you will remember for your
entire life! If there is any advice we can offer,
it is to pace yourself and not rush your pilot
training experience! You will have many great
years to fly without a flight instructor so
take your time and learn all that you can while
we are still in the cockpit with you.
Safety is our absolute
number one priority. As such, we are in the
business of delivering wisdom which only comes
through time and experience. If you plan on
rushing your pilot certificate you may have
come to the wrong flight school. We do not teach
faster or slower than other schools, but we
do teach more thoroughly which requires added
disclipline on your part. If safety and wisdom
are the most important things to you, then you
have come to the right place!
Other flight schools will teach
you only what is required, only what is absolutely
necessary to pass the test for the certificate
or rating sought. We don’t believe our
students should have to learn through testing
nature with trial and error after they become
a pilot. We want you to enjoy the luxury of
many many safe and adventure-filled years of
flying. That’s why we focus on the mistakes
other pilots, including ourselves, have made.
We won’t let you make the same mistakes.
Where We are Located
Our flight school, located in
sunny San Diego provides for an excellent atmosphere
to learn in. There is rarely a day that isn’t
perfect for a flying lesson. Our primary service location is Montgomery Field, located between the 15 and the 163 on Aero Drive.
Appointments and lessons can be scheduled twenty-four
hours per day, seven days a week on our flight
school page for any of the airports listed above.
Pilotinside.com is headquartered
in the heart of mission valley, just down the hill from Montgomery Field. While we do not have offices
located at Montgomery Field,
Fixed Base Operations or FBOs serve as the meeting
ground for students and flight instructors.
These FBOs provide everything needed to conduct
a thorough lesson, including the classroom.
When you schedule a lesson or a scenic flight
with us, a flight instructor will meet you at
one of these locations. For instance, if you
were to schedule a lesson at Montgomery Field,
a flight instructor would meet you at Gibb’s
Flying Service,. Gibb’s is an excellent
FBO located on the corner of Aero Drive, and
John J. Montgomery Drive.

are to get you hooked and in the door and serves
as an absolutely unattainable best-case scenario.
The advertised prices are on average nearly
30% less than what you will actually pay.

Miscellaneous Information
Most flight training in San Diego takes place
through the use of flight clubs which are non-profit organizations
that own aircraft and rent them to pilots who
become partial owners of the aircraft when becoming
a member. There are tremendous insurance benefits
when flying with a club, however, sometimes
finding a flight instructor or school that can
teach or instruct in one club versus the other
can be quite difficult. To make it easier on
our clients, Pilotinside.com is a proud member
and certified to instruct in the following San
Diego Flying Clubs: Plus One Flyers, Sorbi Flying
Club, Flyers Incorporated, and Golden Wings
Flying Club.
