If you are simply interested in aerial photography, surveys, or need a ferry pilot, skip down near the bottom of the page to review our rates or contact us for more information! But, if you are here to start flight instruction, get ready to experience the most effective training curriculum in the
industry. Whether you are a new student
or a seasoned pilot, our programs are
tailored to fit your schedule and your
learning ability.
The Initial Experience
When
training with American Flight Centers, you’ll
experience a level of professionalism that is
unmatched. You will begin an amazing journey
that will be remembered for the rest of your life! If there is any advice we can offer,
it is to pace yourself and not rush your pilot
training experience! You will have many great
years to fly without a flight instructor so
take your time and learn all that you can while
we fly with you.
Safety is our absolute
number one priority. As such, we are in the
business of delivering wisdom which only comes
through time and experience. If you plan on
rushing your pilot certificate you may have
come to the wrong flight school. We
teach more thoroughly than other flight schools, incorporating mountain flying, desert flying, cross-countries into complex airspace, spin training, and real soft field operations. This requires added
disclipline on your part. If safety and wisdom
are the most important things to you, then welcome aboard!
Other flight schools may teach
you only what is required, only what is absolutely
necessary to pass the test for the certificate
or rating sought. We don’t believe our
students should have to learn through testing
nature with trial and error after they become
a pilot. We want you to enjoy the luxury of
many safe and adventure-filled years of
flying. That’s why we focus on teaching thoroughly and covering the mistakes
pilots commonly make. Best of all, If you ever have
a question during training, our flight instructors
will answer your question after hours, by telephone
or e-mail at no extra charge. Its just one more
reason to train with a company that cares.
American Flight Centers, LLC offices are located at the Mongtomery Field in San Diego. This provides for an excellent atmosphere
to learn in. There is rarely a day that isn’t
perfect for a flying lesson. Even when the weather isn't cooperative, the area makes for the perfect place to earn your instrument rating! Our primary service location is at Gibb's Flying Service, located between the 15 and the 163 on Aero Drive. Appointments and lessons can be scheduled twenty-four
hours per day, seven days a week at the bottom of this webpage. Ground Instruction is given in the office prior to every flight. The office serves as the meeting
ground for students and flight instructors by appointment only. When you schedule a lesson or a scenic flight
with us, the pilot or flight instructor will meet you prior to the flight, inside of the lobby at Gibb's Flying Service.
Sharing the Experience
If you are ready to take an introductory flight, share the experience with a friend or loved one! At no extra charge, you can bring a friend or family
member on your first flight to share in the
excitement! This is something that no other flight school offers!
We have taught numerous couples, business partners, and roommates side by side. Training in this manner helps learning to occur faster as it bonds common interests and facilitates learning through discussion and support when away from the airport! Even if the friend or loved one you bring along does not wish to learn to fly, they will still enjoy the experience with you!
